Bijendra Kumar is a Research Scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. Prior to joining IIT Ropar, he was working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era University Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He was teaching Computer Aided Engineering Graphics subjects to undergraduate students as well as Rapid Prototyping to Master students of the department. He also taught Engineering Drawing to undergraduate student of Mangalayatan University Aligarh. He completed his Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He worked for M/s Windlass Engineers & Services Pvt Ltd Dehradun in the Engineering Department. He earned his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from UPTU Lucknow (now AKTU) Uttar Pradesh. His research interests include sustainability, product design, design research and creativity. He is interested in developing new methods and tools for helping designers to design sustainable products, processes, and services with novelty and usefulness.
