Biography
Dr. Sarkar is an Assistant Professor of Physics, working in the areas of low energy ion beam physics, fabrication of nanostructures on semiconductor surfaces using ion beams, and secondary ion mass spectroscopy. After obtaining his doctoral degree from the Surface Physics Division of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, Dr. Sarkar worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Inter-University Microelectronic Centre (IMEC), Belgium. He was a visiting scientist at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam before joining IIT Ropar. He is the author of several publications in his areas of research and is a recipient of the MRSI Award.
