Biography: 
Devaraj. P did his M.A., M. Phil, and Ph. D in Sociology from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He has also qualified for the prestigious UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2009 and Post-Doctoral RadhaKrishnan Fellowship in 2015 in Sociology. His research interest is in Sociology of Science, Technology, and Innovation Studies. His work mainly questions the ‘mainstream elite-culture of innovation’ that influences the production of neglected and marginalized science and technology at local, which he calls it as ‘Subaltern Technoscience’. By employing Socio-Historical Method, his present research critically engages with how and why India missed the bus in Solar Energy technology development. Furthermore, he is also actively involved in publishing the research outcomes in well-reputed international journals (Web of Science) in the area of Sociology of Science and Technology.
