Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali and Indian Institute of Technology Ropar
jointly organize the International Workshop ''Knots, Braids and Topology'' during October, 24 -- 26, 2014.
The workshop will be held at IISER Mohali, India.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together Indian mathematicians working in various aspects of knot theory, braid groups, homotopy theory, and other related areas of topology. The meeting aims to provide up to date information of current themes of research in these areas. The highlight of the meeting will be survey talks by keynote speakers from Japan and Russia. Some short communications by younger participants will also be included.

This Workshop is a part of the Bilateral Joint Research Projects,
"Knot invariants and geometric manifolds" and "Knots, Braids and Automorphism Groups"
supported by
Department of Science and Technology (DST), Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS)
and Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR).
