 Indian Institute of Technology Ropar invites applications for M.Tech programme in the Departments of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Center for Biomedical Engineering for first semester of academic year 2018-19.

A bachelor's degree in engineering (BE / BTech), with a minimum of 60 percent marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) and a valid GATE score. Relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per GOI rules,

A master's degree in science (MSc / MS), or equivalent, with a minimum of 60 percent marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) and a valid GATE score. Relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per GOI rules,

Selection will be based on the GATE performance.   The candidates are required to register through Common Offer and Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2018 http://coap.iitm.ac.in for registration process. The first round of offers will be sent to candidate from 24/05/2018 to 27/05/2018. The second and subsequent rounds of offers will be sent depending on the vacancies.
All Qualified GATE Candidates, who have submitted application for M.Tech. admission, should also register at Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for making decision against admission offers (if any). Click here to visit COAP 2018 website.

After successful completion of registration at COAP, candidate will be able to access information on his/her offers made (if any) from the participating Institutes during the time windows as announced on the COAP portal. For candidate without GATE (i.e B. Tech from IITs) will be informed directly by the IIT Ropar.

Students in their final year of study should produce course completion certificate at the time of joining. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of offer of admission.

Number of Seats are Subject to Change.

Financial Assistance – GATE fellowship at the rate of Rs. 12400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months ) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M.Tech .Programmes , subject to Institute rules. They are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects etc.

Reservation of Seats- Seats are reserved for Indian National under the categories, SC/ST/OBC(Non- creamy layer)and PwD (persons with Disability )according to the Government of India rules.

 

In all matters relating to admission to M Tech programme, the decision of the M Tech Admission Committee is final.
