Steps for applying online:

4. Candidates must apply separately for different departments

Application Procedure: Steps to be followed to apply online.

Step 1: Registration for the Online Application Form: First of all the candidate has to create an account to fill out the Online Application Form by following the below instructions.

i. Click on "Create new account" on the home page. Enter a valid Username of your choice and a valid email address (all further communication will take place only through this email address).

ii. An email will be sent from IIT Ropar's mail-id for verification. Please click on the link in the mail to validate your account and set your password. If you do not receive any email it is advised to check your spam folder and move this email to your inbox.

iii. One candidate has to register once only for all the posts.

    Step 2: Log in to the Application Form: The candidate can log in with the created username and password. After Login click on the relevant tab on the Menu bar and Click on the corresponding department link to apply in that department.

    Step 3: Complete the Application Form:  Enter the complete details in all sections of the application form and then click on Final Submission.

    Step 4: Confirmation Email: You will get an email in your registered email address after the successful submission of the application form.

    Instructions to save the draft of the Application:- In the application form there is a Save Draft button that only saves the detail in draft mode.

    For successful submission of your application form, you have to fill in all detail and then click on the Final Submit button.

    Instructions to Edit the application form:- Candidates can submit only one application form for each post.

    If a candidate wants to make any change to the submitted application form he/she has to go to the edit section and make the desired changes and again click on the Final Submission button.

    Instructions to Upload Scanned Images and PDF documents of Candidate Photograph and Signature

    i. The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG format.

    ii. The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 KB to 200 KB.

    iii. The size of the scanned signature should be between 10 KB to 30 KB.

    iv. The photograph should be clear.

    v. Rename your documents/image as yourname_some_unique_number before uploading them on portal. Please do not use special character except then underscore (_)

    How to reset your Password : The following options are available to reset Password

    i. To reset the password, click on "Request new password" link on the home page.
    ii. Enter your Username or e-mail address provided during the registration process.
    iii. Password reset link will be sent to your registered email id. Click on that link and set the new password.
