Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2008 with the objective of offering world-class education and cutting-edge research opportunities to its students. The department strives for a healthy balance between theory and practice. On the educational front, the curriculum is designed with a motive to prepare students to be industrial and academic leaders who can apply computer science principles across a wide variety of fields. In addition to fundamental courses, specialized elective courses such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics are offered to keep pace with emerging technologies and trends. On the research front, our outstanding faculty and students are exploring a wide range of innovative ideas in areas of Real-time Systems, Theoretical Robotics, Approximation Algorithms, Bioinformatics, Large Scale Optimization, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition.
Department of Electrical Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering, since its inception in the year 2008, has been nurturing the talent of globally competitive engineering students with benchmark domain expertise and all-round finesse. The department currently runs two programs, an undergraduate program (B.Tech in Electrical Engineering) with a total intake of 40 students per academic year and a post graduate program (PhD in Electrical Engineering), to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of electrical engineering. Research areas in the department include Biomedical Signal Processing, Photonics and Optical Communication, Wide Area Monitoring and Control Systems, Low-power Mixed Signal Circuit and Device Designs, Novel Device Structures, and Power and Energy Systems: planning, economics, operation, and control.
School of Mechanical, Materials & Energy Engineering (SMMEE)
The School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering was established in 2008 as the department of Mechanical Engineering. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to students, awarding B.Tech and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Apart from learning basic technical concepts, the students are open to avail various elective courses of their choice.
Equipped with well-structured instruction and learning resources and research facilities, so as to encourage the students and faculty to work without any hindrance for the fulfillment of their research endeavors, the school aims to disseminate education in the inter-disciplinary areas of mechanical, materials and energy engineering.
