The field of Civil Engineering continuous adapts and adopts advancement in technology to come up with better technical solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Vision and Mission<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The BTech program in Civil Engineering started in 2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>To cover fundamentals of Civil Engineering including engineering sciences, mathematics, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, water resources, environmental sciences, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, transportation and geomatics in a holistic mode<\/li><li>To emphasize upon developing \u201cthinking\u201d Civil engineers<\/li><li>To tackle un-orthodox engineering challenges in the field of Civil Engineering<\/li><li>To focus on innovative research like digital fabrication, innovative structures, new materials, wireless-sensors, modeling and simulation; and the current issue of climate change<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Salient Features of the Program<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department Civil Engineering offers four types of B.Tech programs that are B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (major), B.Tech. with minor in any other discipline than the major discipline), B.Tech with concentration in Structural Engineering, B.Tech. with honors, and B.Tech with additional internship.
