Dr. T. J. Dhilip KumarProfessorDr. T. J. Dhilip Kumar obtained his Master and Doctoral degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M). After completing Ph.D. in 2006, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the field of fundamental studies on Hydrogen storage materials and then, from 2008 to 2010 worked at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor on the modeling of atmospheric nitrate reactions. His doctoral work was adjudged the best thesis in Physical Chemistry for the year 2006 by IIT Madras. He joined IIT Ropar as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry in September 2010. He worked as Associate Professor from December 2015 to August 2024. Currently he is working as Professor. From 2014-17, worked as Associate Dean (Post-Graduate) and from 2017-18 worked as Associate Dean (Research). Dr. Dhilip was the Head of the Department from June 2018 – June 2021. His research interests include quantum dynamics of molecular collisions and designing materials for energy storage. Dr. Dhilip received CRSI Bronze Medal for the year 2024. |
