Important Information of 1st year B.Tech students for the AY 2021-22

The first semester of the Academic year 2021-22 will be in ONLINE Mode only. The first semester will commence from 30th Nov. 2021. The classes will be starting in ONLINE Mode from 1st December 2021. Physically reporting in IIT Ropar is not required.
1. Registration Schedule:
Registration shall start at 10:00 AM on 30th Nov. 2021 (Tuesday). Registration forms are available on website link as given below. Please download the forms, fill them and send/upload the duly signed forms/documents on the google form link. The google form link will be shared through your email id after 22nd Nov. 2021. These documents can be uploaded by the candidates who have frozen their seats and deposited the Institute fee.
The candidates are required to pay the fees as mentioned below. After payment of fees submit the following documents on the google form link.
a) Income affidavit/Income certificate.
b) Fees payment receipt
The Entry Nos. will be issued after payment of fees and will be shared through your email id after 22nd Nov. 2021.
2. Orientation & Induction Programme :
The Induction Programme for the newly admitted students is scheduled from 23rd Nov. 2021 to 29th Nov. 2021. The orientation programme is scheduled on 25th Nov. 2021 from 10am to 1pm. The link for joining the orientation program will be conveyed separately. The parents/guardians of the students may also join for the orientation programme. Please note that participation of the student in the Orientation & Induction Programme is mandatory. The details will be shared on the Institute website and send to the students through e-mail.
3. Commencement of Classes: The classes will start in ONLINE Mode only from 1st Dec. 2021 (Wednesday).
4. i) Academic Fees to be paid: - For B.Tech. for 1st Semester of the Academic Year 2021-22.

Please Note : i) For Sr. No.2, ( whose annual family income is less than 4.5 lacs) an Income Certificate / Income Affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.20/- or Rs.50/- duly signed and attested by Tehsildar / 1st Class Magistrate/Revenue Officer/ SDO/BDO of his / her Jurisdiction is required be produced at the time of Registration, for claiming Free Messing Scholarship etc. ii) For Sr.No. 3 & 4, (family whose annual income is less than Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum or family income is between Rs. 1 lac to Rs. 5 lacs per annum) an Income Certificate / Income Affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.20/-or Rs.50/- duly signed and attested by Tehsildar / 1st Class Magistrate/Revenue Officer/ BDO/SDO of his / her Jurisdiction is required to be produced at the time of Registration for claiming tuition fee waiver and other scholarship etc. iii) The excess fees paid (if any) will be refunded in due course of time. iv) The fees are required to be paid on or before 25.11.2021 through SB collect as per following procedure : 1. Go to onlinesbi.com 2. Select SB Collect 3. Tick the terms and conditions and continue 4. Select state--Punjab 5. Select Educational Institute--IIT Ropar 6. Select the option for paying the academic fees: a. B.Tech New Admission 2021 Gen/OBC b. B.Tech New Admission 2021 SC/ST/PwD c. B.Tech New Admission 2021 Gen/OBC (Family income between 1 lac to 5 lac) 2021. 7. Pay the requisite fee. 8. Submit the receipt of Academic fees on the google form link shared. |
