I am delighted at the inauguration of the Indo- Taiwan centre of Artificial Intelligence, the only centre of this nature in this country. IIT Ropar values its relationship with Taiwan. Every year a large number of our students and faculty undertake academic visits to Taiwan. This centre will strengthen our relationship by promoting mutual visits, promoting joint research and projects in the area of Artificial Intelligence and ML which is identified by both the countries as an important area future research.

I thank the Government of Taiwan for sponsoring this centre and hope that the activities of this centre will bring out significant and tangible benefits in the area of research, industry and business to both the countries. I wish the centre all the best.
