Biography:

Mr. Jagpreet Singh received his B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Punjab Technical University Punjab, India in 2003 and his M.S. degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani in 2009. His research interest includes Real-time scheduling, Parallel Processing and Adhoc Networks. Prior to IIT Ropar, he completed his M.S. Dissertation titled "Investigation of Routing Protocols in MANET" and proposed a routing protocol ELRAODV (Enhanced local Repair AODV) that implements a two-hop local repair management strategy to improve AODV performance. Present research is being carried out in the area of real-time and non real-time scheduling in distributed systems. The main focus of the work is on the problem of scheduling task graphs on heterogeneous multiprocessor distributed system. Other than computers, he has interest in Indian classical music and has enjoyed sketching faces in his leisure times.
