PROFILE

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Joined Panjab University in 2009 and is presently working as a Deputy Librarian in the A C Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh from 2018. He has obtained M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur in 2001 and Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc) from Delhi University in 2004. He did PhD on the topic “Radio Frequency Identification Technology Applications in Library and Information Centres: A case study of Northern India” at Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, 2014.

He has been awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Professional Fellowship twice by Commonwealth Secretariat Commission, London and British Council London, UK, at University of East London, London in 2017 and in 2012. He has been decorated with many awards including: Shiv Nath Rai Kohli Mid-Career Best Scientist Award 2021 (Social Sciences) by Panjab University, Chandigarh., University Librarian of the Year Award 2021 presented by Madhya Pradesh Librarian, Association (MPLA) in recognition of my contribution towards PU and LIS profession, etc.

He has published a total of 35 research papers in the peer reviewed/ indexed journals, authored one book, Chapters in Edited Book: 08, , tec. Dr Singh is having 42 Scopus Citations:, H Index: 4, Google Citations: 292: H index:9, I-10 Index: 9.

He has been Invited as a Speaker/Resource Person in many FDP, Orientation Courses, Refresher courses, Seminars, Workshops, etc. organized by many universities, IITs, IISERs, NITs, NITTTR, private universities, colleges, etc all over India and delivered More than 350 lectures (Online +Offline) . Visited some of the best libraries in and around UK (Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE, etc) during Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in 2017 and 2012 and also visited University of California Library, USA in 2015 to see best practices implemented in various libraries.
