PROFILE

Colonel Sengupta is a distinguished Combat Infantry leader of the Indian Army who was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India for exceptional leadership. He served with late President APJ Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In a military career spanning 25 years post his passing out from the Indian Military Academy, Col. Sengupta won laurels on battlefields in the toughest Kashmir and North Eastern sectors as a Commanding Officer of a 1,000 plus infantry unit.

After 25 years of service, Col Sengupta took voluntary retirement from the Indian Army and transitioned through an Executive MBA at the prestigious IIM Bangalore, to a Corporate leadership role with Technology Services multinational. During the past decade, Col Sengupta transferred his vast expertise and experience in coaching and mentoring at several premier Indian academic institutions.

Apart from his professorial initiatives, Col Sengupta is a much sought after TEDx and JOSH series speaker and also acts as a YOUth mentor.

Col Sengupta holds a PGPEX from IIM Bangalore, an Economics Honours Degree from Mumbai University and Masters from Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. Col Sengupta is an avid golfer, distance cyclist, an enthusiastic social net-worker, a geo-strategic and national affairs commentator.

He is presently the faculty with at IIT Ropar, in the CoE spearheading the ‘Atma-Nirbhar’ initiative.
