Dr. Tarvinder Singh Handa

PROFILE

Dr. Tarvinder Singh Handa did his Master’s in Library & Information Science and Ph.D. from the Department of Library and Information Science, Punjabi University Patiala. He is presently working as Library Information Officer at Nalanda Library, IIT Ropar, Rupnagar. He has over 20 years of experience of working as library & Information professional in various reputed organizations including the current organisation.

His areas of expertise include Library planning and management; ICT implementation; Knowledge Management in Libraries; Bibliometric analysis, and, conducting User Studies etc. He possesses good team work and managerial skills. He also possesses good presentation skills. He is an active researcher in the field of Library and Information Science. So far he has contributed several research articles in National and International Journals, book chapters in edited books/conference volumes, and he has got many articles published as well as presented in National and International conferences/seminars/workshops.

Dr. Handa is life member of Indian Library Association (ILA) and Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS). He is also core member of Punjab Library Association (PLA). He has delivered invited talks and acted as Resource person, Co-chaired the sessions, and Rapporteur of many LIS Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. He is also an editorial member of some reputed international journals
