Guidelines to use Technobooth
Technobooths in the Nalanda Library is a perfect space for practicing group presentation, carrying out group assignment, group lecture discussion digital projects, multimedia content creation, virtual meetings, and other tech-related activities.
Usage Guidelines
- In-Person visit to Library required for Reservation: Technobooth reservations require an in-person library visit. Advance bookings are disabled to prevent overbooking.
- Locking a Technobooth: Students are strictly not allowed to lock a technbooth and leave the library premises during booked session.
- Time Limit: Usage of the TechnoBooth is limited to a set amount of time per session (e.g., 2 hour) to ensure availability for others.
- Purpose of Use: The Technobooth is intended for digital projects, multimedia content creation, virtual meetings, and other tech-related activities. It is not for general study or social gatherings.
- Authorized Users Only: Only registered library members
- Check-In/Check-Out: Users must check in and out with a library staff member before and after using the Technobooths.
- Proper Handling: Users must handle all equipment with care. Any damage must be reported immediately.
- User Input: Users are encouraged to provide feedback on their experience with the Technobooth to help the library improve the service.
- No Downloads/Installs: Users are prohibited from downloading software or installing any programs without prior permission.
- Save Work Properly: Users should save their work to cloud services. The library is not responsible for any data loss. Do not use external memory device.
- Noise Levels: The TechnoBooth is a quiet work area. Users should keep noise to a minimum, including during video calls.
- Respect for Others: Users should respect others' time by vacating the booth promptly at the end of their reserved time.
- Food and Drinks: No food or drinks are allowed in the TechnoBooths.
- Seek Help When Needed: If users encounter technical difficulties, they should seek assistance from library staff rather than attempting to fix the issue themselves.
- Training Required: First-time users may be required to undergo a brief orientation on how to use the TechnoBooth.
- Penalties: Failure to adhere to these rules may result in a temporary or permanent ban from using the TechnoBooth.
- Liability for Damages: Users may be held financially responsible for any damage to equipment or the booth resulting from misuse.
