About Us

Since its inception in 2009, the Department of Mathematics at IIT Ropar has been actively engaged in cutting-edge inter disciplinary research while imparting high quality education in emerging areas of mathematical sciences. In addition to offering various core and elective courses for all B. Tech streams, the department has a well established PhD program starting from 2010 and has started Masters program beginning with 2015. It also attracts considerable interest from students and faculty members from other reputed institutions for short-term research projects and summer internships. We also look forward to promote post-doctoral fellows to pursue their independent research at IIT Ropar.
