Selection will be based on the GATE performance for the year 2021/2022/2023. Please note that the candidates are required to register on “Common Offer and Acceptance Portal” (COAP) 2023 (https://coap.iitkgp.ac.in/) before applying online to the Institute. You are required to look at COAP Website for all round of the offers.

 

Financial Assistance – GATE fellowship at the rate of Rs. 12400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M.Tech. Programmes, subject to Institute rules. They are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects etc.

 

Reservation of Seats- Seats are reserved for Indian National under the categories, SC/ST/OBC (Non- creamy layer)/ EWS(Economically Weaker Section) and PWD (persons with Disability) according to the Government of India rules.

 

In all matters relating to admission to M Tech programme, the decision of the M Tech Admission Committee is final.

 

Last Date for applying online is 23-04-2023. The candidate is required to pay application fees of Rs.500/- for GEN/OBC/EWS category and Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD. 

Please follow the below steps for payment of application fees through SB collect option by clicking on the link while filling the online application form.

1. Go to (https://www.onlinesbi.com/)

2. Select SB Collect 

3. Tick the terms and conditions and continue

4. Select state--Punjab

5. Select Educational Institute--IIT Ropar

6. Select the option for payment category:

a) M.Tech Application Fee admission AY23-24 GEN/OBC/EWS

                b) M.Tech Application Fee admission AY 23-24 SC/ST/PwD

7. Pay the requisite fee.

8. Write the DU no./Transaction id and date on the online application form.

 

The above link of fees will be activated from 24th March 2023.

COAP (Common offer acceptance portal)

All admission offers will be displayed on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Candidates must register at the COAP portal for viewing and accepting their offers. Registration on COAP portal is free. Candidates are advised to download COAP 2023 information Brochure and follow the guidelines for participation. However note that, COAP is not an application portal for M.Tech admissions. COAP registration number is a mandatory field for registration on the M.Tech applications portal of IIT Kharagpur.
