In a one of its kind initiative, the Office of International Relations has started the Summer Visitation Programme for faculty members of IIT Ropar. The objective of this programme is to provide exposure to the faculty members of IIT Ropar in their early stages of career to international collaborative research opportunities. This will be a stimulus to learning the best practices in some of the most sought after labs in the world. Thus, we expect a quantum leap in their research productivity by facilitating long-term relationships with the Who’s Who of the scientific world.
This programme provides an excellent opportunity to highly motivated faculty members from all departments/centers and schools of the institute to interact with the world scientific community and get first-hand information of the developments taking place at the international level. They acquaint themselves with new scientific research methods and can collaborate in larger research projects. This programme enables the visiting fellows to carry out a clearly defined research project at a place of their choice across the globe for a period of 5 – 10 weeks.
