     Biography

Dr. Nagaraja obtained his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Bangalore University. Then he carried out doctoral research work under the supervision of Prof. Balaji Rao Jagirdar at the Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and received his Ph. D. degree in 2007. Subsequently, he carried out postdoctoral research work at  Brandeis University, USA with Prof. Oleg V. Ozerov and at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore with
Prof. C. N. R. Rao and Prof. T. K. Maji.
Prior to joining  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar in 2012, he worked as an Assistant Professor at IIT Jodhpur from May 2011 to August 2012. His research interests are in the broad area of inorganic materials chemistry. The current research in his group is focused on the design and synthesis of multifunctional  framework (MOF/COF) materials for selective capture and utilization of carbon dioxide. Also, the development of inorganic nanomaterials for applications in energy and environmental remediation.
