MA 102 - Linear Algebra and Integral Transforms is a core course for all the 1st semester B.Tech students. The aim of this course is to make the students familiar with fundamental concepts on Linear Algebra, such as vector space, basis and dimesntion, System of linear equations, Gauss elimination method, Linear transformations, Rank-nullity theorem, Eigenvalues and Eigen vectors, Diagonalization of a linear operator, Inner product spaces, Spectral theorem for real symmetric matrices. The course will also discuss applications such as quadratic forms, Laplace and Fourier tranforms and Error functions. Emphasis will be on concepts and problem solving.
This course will run in parallel sessions with almost uniform content, and uniform examination pattern.
