Biography
"Dr. S. Manigandan is a Chemical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in R&D (Industry
and academia) and 3+ years of experience in teaching in a reputed academic institute.
Recipient of Shah-Schulman award for the best Ph.D. thesis in Colloid & Interface
Science in India for the Year 2017, given by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers
(IIChE) at the Indian Chemical Engineering Congress, 2018 (CHEMCON-2018). Recipient of
""Institute Research Award-2017"" for the quality
and quantity of the research work done at IIT Madras. Recipient of ""pre-doctoral
fellowship award-2017"" equivalent to post-doc, issued by the competent authority of IIT
Madras. Current Research Interests (Broad area):
Colloid & Interfacial Science and soft matter. Name of the Research Lab Established:
Advanced colloids & Interfacial Engineering Topics of research: Synthesis of
active/anisotropic particles and their self-assembly, Pickering
emulsions, Pickering foams, biopolymer, advanced functional nanomaterials for the
application in wastewater treatment, rheology of suspensions."
