Biography
Rajagopal Vellingiri is an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at IIT Ropar.
Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at BITS Pilani – Goa
Campus (2015-2019), and a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London
(2014). He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, MTech in
Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, and BTech in Chemical Engineering from Coimbatore
Institute of Technology. His broad research interests
are in fluid flows and in particular on problems involving moving interfaces. He uses a
combination of mathematical modelling, analysis and numerical computations to study
problems arising from observations in nature as
well as a variety of technological applications.
