Parwinder Singh received his PhD in Counselling Psychology. He started his career as a counselling psychologist and provided his services for almost five years in the Department of Psychology, Punjabi University, Patiala. From 2011 to April 2018, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at a constituent campus of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. His research work mainly includes planning, devising, executing and evaluating various psychological interventions targeting different facets of maladaptive behaviour. He studies social-cognitive aspects of adaptive and maladaptive behavioural patterns, focusing primarily on behaviour modification. Presently he is working to explore the dynamics of emotion regulation and its implications for aggressive, depressive & health-risk behaviours. Exploring various risk and protective factors associated with specific behavioural phenomena and applying appropriate intervention characterize his research designs.
