Chief Guest: Shrikant Madhav Vaidya (former Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.) delivered the convocation address.

Presiding Officer: Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar.

During his address, Vaidya emphasized the importance of India achieving energy independence by 2047, noting the country’s reliance on crude oil and gas imports.

Prof. Ahuja pointed out that about 30% of India’s deep-tech agri-startups originate from IIT Ropar, and the institute has launched a B.Tech in Digital Agriculture and is working on an LLM (Large Language Model) for agriculture.

A total of 720 degrees were conferred.
