What is M.Sc. in Data Science and Management program?
MSc in Data Science and Management is a master’s level full-time degreeprogram offered
jointly by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)Amritsar and the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Ropar. On successfulcompletion, the student is awarded an MSc degree in Data
Science andManagement.
What is the duration of the program?
The M.Sc. in Data Science and Management program is a two years longresidential program. The
program is divided into four semesters. Thestudents will spend their semesters 1 and 2 at IIT
Ropar and semesters 3and 4 at IIM Amritsar. Throughout the program, the students will be
taughtby the faculties of both IIM Amritsar and IIT Ropar.
I am from a non-engineering background. Can I apply for the program?
Yes. Anyone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree involving management,mathematics, computer sciences, or allied courses can apply for theprogram.
Which entrance exam scores are considered for admission to the M.Sc. program?
We accept CAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT, and JAM scores for shortlistingcandidates for personal interview. However, we require applicants tosubmit test scores that are no more than three years old.
What degree will I get after completing the program?
You will be awarded an M.Sc. in Data Science and Management degreeafter successful completion of the program. The degree will be issuedjointly by IIM Amritsar and IIT Ropar.
What is the application fee?
The candidate has to pay Rs 1000/- as an application fee. The applicationfee for SC/ST candidates is Rs 500/-. The amount is non-refundable.
