Enigma, the quizzing club of IIT Ropar, is an intellectual space for curiosity, exploration, and learning. We believe that quizzing opens our eyes to the bigger and wider world around us. From music, movies, sports, literature, history, science, and geopolitics to everything in between, we believe there is something for everyone. Quizzing is not about knowing random facts, but about piecing together clues, exchanging ideas, and discovering new things. Enigma organizes several intra-college events and represents IIT Ropar at competitions such as the Inter IIT Quiz Cup, IIT- IIM Nihilanth, and quizzes hosted across the country. The Model United Nations (MUN) Club of IIT Ropar is where future world leaders come to practice saving the planet — one heated debate and strongly-worded clause at a time. We're a student-run organization where engineers temporarily forget about their assignments to argue about international conflicts (because clearly, that's a better use of our time). Our delegates master the art of diplomacy, public speaking, and looking extremely serious while secretly having no idea what the "delegate from Belarus" is supposed to say next. We tackle global crises, broker world peace, and occasionally argue for 45 minutes about the formatting of a resolution — all before dinner. If you've ever wanted to wear a suit, bang a gavel, and feel briefly important, welcome home.
