Biography:
Dr. Amit Bhunia has received his doctoral degree (Ph.D) from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)-Pune. He was a DST-Inspire research fellow in the department of physics. His research interest mostly focused to understand the underlying dynamics of excitons formations and their optoelectronic signature in semiconductor quantum heterostructure devices. Before joining as postdoctoral research fellow in the department of physics, IIT-Ropar, he also held research associate position in the department of physics, IISER-Pune. Dr. Bhunia was also the recipient of prestigious Newton-Bhabha short-term Ph.D placement programme fellowship of DST-India and British Council-UK. His present research interest involves to explore the physics of quantum emitters in novel semiconductor system and their efficient quantum technological application.
