Research

Since my PhD I worked chiefly on aspects of Black Hole Physics. This includes uniqueness and no hair properties of Black Hole spacetimes in the presence of cosmological event horizons and also in the context of alternative gravity theories, black hole particle creation and thermodynamics. I also have worked on aspects of stability of certain non-virilaised large scale cosmic structures. Currently I am working chiefly on aspects of Quantum Field Theory in curved or non-trivial backgrounds, in particular, in the context of the early cosmic inflationary scenario. Nowadays I am working with my group on aspects of Quantum Entanglement between the created particle-antiparticle pairs in such backgrounds. Recently, I also have started working on interacting Quantum Field Theories in the inflationary scenario. Such study chiefly includes investigation of the non-perturbative secular effects, the dynamical generation of mass, cosmic decoherence etc., and their possible observational consequences on the cosmological correlation functions. My research will be focussed on this particular discipline for at least next five years.
