Area of Research
Experimental Nuclear Physics
Research
Current focus is on the experimental study of seniority isomers having lifetime in the range 10-100 ns for semi-magic nuclei around Z=50 and Z=82. Main interest in on the lifetime and moment measurements of such isomers. The experimental part of this work is in collaboration with Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India.
Parallel focus is on fission studies in sub-barrier region. This work is in collaboration with Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP) Romania.
