Biography

Dr. Asoka Biswas received her Ph.D in Physics in 2005 from Physical Research Laboratory, India, specializing in physical implementation of quantum computation and information. She was a Post-doctoral research fellow under the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) fellowship in University of Southern California and worked on quantum control of decoherence and Quantum computation in spin system. After that she joined the University of Toronto for her next post-doc under the Prize post-doctoral fellowship and continued her work on decoherence control. Presently she is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Physics, IIT-Ropar.
