CYNOSURE - 2015
Cynosure, the annual research day of the department of mathematics at IIT Ropar, aims at motivating young students (at post graduate and graduate level) towards research in mathematics. Cynosure will provide an interactive platform to showcase the participants' original research. It is designed to stimulate discussions among participants and experts on various issues affecting frontiers mathematics. It also gives a chance to participants to present their research works in the form of posters.
Call for Poster
Participants are encouraged to present a poster-paper, preferably of A0 size (33.1 x 46.8 in), on their original research ideas.

Guidelines: Interested candidates are required to submit an abstract (in LaTeX-PDF or Word file) of their proposed research topic not exceeding 250 words, to cynosure@iitrpr.ac.in preferably on or before 20th October 2015.

If shortlisted after review, they will be communicated (latest by 24th October  2015) to prepare a poster-paper for presentation at Cynosure - 2015.
Important remark: There will be two poster awards to be chosen by the expert reviewers.
Registration
Cynosure - 2015 participants are required to register by paying a (nominal) fee of  ₹. 300 (three hundred Indian rupees only) towards food, kit and a souvenir. The proof the payment and the filled-in form should be scanned and sent to the email: cynosure@iitrpr.ac.in on or before 31st October 2015.

Online Mode (preferred):
Registration can be done by filling up the registration form (also downloadable from links) and pay the fee by bank transfer / deposit.

Offline Mode:
Registration is also possible by sending the filled-in form and a pay-order (cheque / D.D.) towards registration fee, by post, to the given address.
