Rationale behind the Logo of IIT Ropar

The word Punjab is derived from words that means ‘five rivers’ (Beas, Satluj, Ravi, Chenab, and Jhelum).’ ‘Punj’ means "five" and ‘aab’ means "waters", so, "Punjab" means "land of five rivers."
This is the main focus of this logo, ‘the five rivers.’ The logo of IIT Punjab (Ropar) has a deep inner meaning. The meaning goes like this:
