I am currently a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Ropar and am seeking highly motivated candidates for PhD positions in the broad areas of VLSI DSP systems, FPGA-based system design, and System-on-Chip (SoC) design, along with Hardware Security. The research focus is on efficient algorithm-to-architecture mapping for DSP and emerging workloads, with emphasis on high-performance, energy-efficient, and scalable hardware implementations. This includes the design and optimization of computation architectures for signal processing and AI accelerators, as well as system-level integration in VLSI/SoC platforms and reconfigurable systems. In the domain of hardware security, the work involves the design, analysis, and detection of hardware vulnerabilities, including hardware trojans, with a focus on secure and trustworthy VLSI/SoC architectures. Candidates with additional interest or background in Flexible and Printed Electronics, including thin-film devices and emerging electronic technologies, are also encouraged to apply.
