(1) Economics: International Economics, Banking and Finance, Development Economics, Urban Economics, Health Economics, Energy and Environmental Economics

(2) English Literature: American Studies, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, Modern Fiction, Postcolonial Studies.

(3) Linguistics: Morphology, Optimality Theory, and Phonology, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Psycho/Neurolinguistics, Language and Cognition

(4) Management: Consumer Psychology, Brand Management, e-Services, Services Marketing

Master's or equivalent degree in Cognitive Science, Commerce, Economics, English Literature, Linguistics, Management, Philosophy, Psychology, or any other relevant discipline with 55% (or 6.0 grade point out of 10).

                   or

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering from any of the IITs/NITs or any other ‘Ínstitute of National Importance’ with minimum of 55% (or 6 grade points out of 10)

Candidates meeting one of these requirements must also fulfil one of the following additional requirements:

a) UGC/CSIR- NET or GATE or equivalent qualification

b) DST-INSPIRE Fellowship

Note: Candidates with Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology from any of the IITs and having CGPA/CPI Score of 8 (out of 10) are exempted from GATE requirement.
