Nalanda Library licenses electronic resources for teaching, research, and private study by members of the IIT Ropar community under institutional agreements with publishers and consortia.

Fair Use & Licensed Access

Copyright: The Nalanda Library, IIT Ropar, subscribes to electronic resources under institutional license agreements that permit access to full-text content for fair use in teaching, research, and private study.

Copyright Restrictions: Users must comply with copyright laws and publisher license agreements. Copyrighted materials may not be copied, published, distributed, displayed, or performed without permission of the copyright holder, except where allowed under fair use or applicable licenses. This also applies to DVDs, CDs, and other copyrighted materials. IIT Ropar may suspend access for users found violating copyright policies.

Licensing Restrictions: Access to subscribed electronic resources is restricted to authorized members of IIT Ropar for academic purposes only. Commercial use, systematic downloading, copying, or redistribution of content is strictly prohibited.

Do's	Don'ts
Can make limited print or electronic copies.	Cannot share resources with non-IIT Ropar users.
Can use resources for teaching, research, discussion, and other academic purposes.	Cannot perform systematic or substantial downloading, copying, or printing.
Can send or post persistent links to subscribed resources.	Cannot sell or redistribute content to external parties.
Can share references with professional colleagues.	Cannot republish content on websites, blogs, or forums.
