Inter Library Loan (ILL)

Nalanda Library facilitates access to books and scholarly materials that are not available in the Institute collection through cooperative resource sharing with partner libraries.

Resource Sharing Service

No single library can acquire every book, journal, and information resource required by its users. Inter Library Loan (ILL) is an essential service that enables libraries to borrow materials from other institutions to meet specific academic and research needs.

Through ILL, books and articles that are unavailable in Nalanda Library may be arranged from member and associate libraries under inter-lending, document supply, and delivery agreements. These materials are provided on loan for a limited period and must be returned within the stipulated due date.

Inter Library Loan represents a collaborative effort among libraries and ensures that faculty members, researchers, and students have timely access to the scholarly resources necessary for teaching, learning, and advanced research.

How to Request an Inter Library Loan

Submit complete bibliographic details of the required book or article to the Library. The staff will identify partner libraries and arrange the material subject to availability and lending conditions.
